It Starts Here
n an effort to be transparent, I washed my hair for the first time in ten days today. That's not to say I haven't been bathing, I just haven't washed my hair.
I tell you this to let you know (from the very start), that it is not my intention to ever appear like I’ve got all the answers or that everything in my life is completely put together. I do not want to imply that I think my opinions are the only valid ones. I come to you from the, “I’m just another woman, mother, wife, human trying to get through every day with some level of grace and dignity,” perspective.
I originally wanted to launch this blog after creating months and months of content, after organizing said content exactly how I envisioned it, and after I worked out all the visual aesthetics. I wanted to debut it as the most perfect blog there ever was, but I’ve decided to wing it. If Covid-19 has taught me anything, it’s to make use of the time I have. So, here we go.
My plan from the beginning has always been to write about things I’m interested in. I’d like to share tips and tricks, insights, and perspectives about things like cooking, exercise, motherhood, health + wellness, and style. I will also feature local business that I love and trust.
I moved to Fort Collins in 2010, to pursue a degree from Colorado State University. I didn’t know a single person when I arrived, and I knew even less about the local shops, restaurants, and businesses here. Over the past ten years, I’ve met my husband, started a family, built a home, and cultivated my favorite places and spaces.
I’m not exactly sure where the blog will go, but I would like to it to organically grow into what it is meant to be. My opinions and interests change often. I make mistakes, learn and develop. I’m not particularly qualified to give any sort of advice or recommend that you do anything. I just want to share things I like with you.
Please check back soon. I’ll be updating the site, organizing the posts, and creating more content soon!
